The rate of change of prices for the Food and Beverage group increased.
The annual inflation rate in Sudan declined to 117.42 percent last August, compared to 125.41 percent in July.
And the Central Bureau of Statistics said, on Thursday, that the price index of consumer and service goods for the food and beverage group recorded 37,873.67 points for the month of August.
2022 AD, while it was 20,834.98 points in August 2021 AD, an increase of 17,038.69 points, with an annual rate of change (inflation) of 81.78% (meaning that the rate of change of prices for the food and beverage group increased by 81.78% over its counterpart in the previous year
A statement issued by the Statistics Authority revealed that Blue Nile State recorded the highest inflation rate of 187315.68 points, while West Darfur State recorded the lowest inflation rate of 45000.71 points.
Sudan is experiencing an economic crisis, which has led to an increase in the prices of many consumer goods recently.
