Khartoum: LATEST NEWS
The Minister of Culture and Information, Dr. Graham Abdel Qader, issued a decision to postpone the 17th Khartoum International Book Fair to a date to be determined later.
In today’s statement, Graham explained the reasons for postponing the 17th Khartoum International Book Fair, which was scheduled for October 19.
He attributed the reasons for the postponement to the torrential rains and the damage that resulted from them, and the need to direct the state to stand with those affected, as well as the fluctuation of the tropical separator that warns of heavy rain and its consequences, in addition to giving more time to make technical and administrative arrangements to present a distinct and ideal course.
The Ministry of Culture and Information and the Higher Committee of the Khartoum International Book Fair expressed their thanks to all the fair’s partners from national and foreign publishing houses, in addition to cultural attachés and foreign embassies in Sudan, as well as educational institutions, media, cultural sectors and the fair’s audience for their great role in supporting the fair during previous sessions.
