The Forces for Freedom and Change in Sudan called for an end to the violence against the mass movement by the coup authority, the protection of civilians, and support for a credible political process that leads to the establishment of a civil regime.
This came according to a press circular, Thursday, signed by the Liaison and Foreign Relations Committee of the Forces of Freedom and Change.
And on Thursday, a meeting took place at the invitation of the European Union Commission, at the Commission’s premises in Khartoum, between a delegation from the Liaison and Foreign Relations Committee and a delegation from the European Parliament’s Foreign Relations Committee headed by David McAllister.
The Chairman of the European Union’s External Relations Committee stressed their full and complete support for the Sudanese demand for democracy and democratic civil rule.
He pointed out that this is their main message to those they meet on their current one-day visit to Khartoum.
Since the twenty-fifth of last October, Sudan has witnessed continuous popular protests, in rejection of the measures taken by the Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces, Abdel Fattah Al-Burhan.
