Khartoum 9-22-2022 (SUNA) – The daily report of the Flood Committee confirmed that Dinder and Khartoum are at the flood level, and the Blue Nile at the Sudanese-Ethiopian border recorded 564 million cubic meters, 81 million cubic meters higher than the level of last year, and that the Atbara River recorded 164 million cubic meters per day less than last year’s level by 40 million cubic meters, while the average revenue of the White Nile (Malkal) recorded 180 million cubic meters per day.
The committee’s statement confirmed that the discharge behind the Roseires dam rose to 456 million cubic meters today, compared to 355 million cubic meters on the same day last year. Atbara and Setit dam reached 110 million cubic meters to 140 million cubic meters for the same day last year, while the discharge decreased today in Khashm El-Girba to 64 million cubic meters compared to 154 million cubic meters for the same day last year, and in Meroe the discharge rose to 534 million cubic meters Compared to 494 million cubic meters for the same day last year, the discharge also decreased in Jabal Awliya to 83 million cubic meters, compared to 120 million cubic meters for the same day last year.
The committee’s daily statement indicated that the Al-Dim station was affected by the level of the Roseires reservoir lake.
In its report, the committee warned that the citizens living on the White Nile and the Dinder River should take precautions to preserve their lives and property.
The committee confirmed the continuation of storage in all reservoirs with the completion of storage in the Jebel Awliya reservoir.
