New York 09/21-2022 (SUNA) – Lieutenant-General Abdel Fattah Al-Burhan Abdel Rahman, Chairman of the Transitional Sovereignty Council, arrived this evening in New York City, to participate in the work of the 77th session of the United Nations General Assembly.
His Excellency is scheduled to deliver Sudan’s speech before the United Nations General Assembly, on Thursday, the twenty-second of September, and he will also participate in high-level meetings to discuss strengthening multilateral cooperation with regard to the various international and regional issues at hand, in addition to the challenges facing the international community such as Climate change and the food crisis and its consequences, especially on developing and least developed countries.
On the sidelines of the 77th session, the President of the Sovereignty Council will meet with a number of presidents from different countries of the world and representatives from international and regional organizations, to discuss ways of bilateral cooperation and the role of multilateral cooperation within the framework of the United Nations Organization to build a more stable future.
